Thanks for the kind words!
I believe that this bug is a duplicate of Bug #319438, where I've
requested that 'apt-get upgrade' be hooked to update /var/run/updates-
available upon completion.
I'm not going to mark this bug a 'duplicate' quite yet, as I suspect I
might need a one-liner added to screen-profiles to respect a more
recently touched /var/run/updates-available.
Let me check with mvo and see how if he's released a fix for that bug
yet.
