I am not using either of those. It was still occuring without the gdesklets.. It is not now because I reinstalled Ubuntu. That worked fine for a day or two then the internet connection suddenly quit working. So until I have more time to deal with that I have given up on Ubuntu for the most part.

More information would be helpful to improve this report. Are you using Desktop Effects or Compiz? Does the problem still occur if you are not running gDesklets? Thanks! -- any window opened stays in one corner, cannot be resized, moved or minimized, and window bar at the bottom of screen is gone https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323803 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. Status in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I tried unsuccessfully to install some gdeskletts. Now every window I open stays in one corner and can't be moved. The top of the window will be gray, not brown, and can not be maximized or minimized. To close it I have to go to file and select quit. The windows selector at the bottom of the screen is not showing any windows even though it is installed. The F11 trick doesn't work on this one. I have Ubuntu 8.10. -- any window opened stays in one corner, cannot be resized, moved or minimized, and window bar at the bottom of screen is gone https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323803 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
