I have Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 (20090105) on Intrepid Ibex. The system has been upgraded from Hardy, and the Thunderbird profile is about 4 years old. If you cannot reproduce the behavior, and wish to solve this, I can make a fresh Thunderbird install and try again. I'll make a fresh Jaunty install too, when it is out.
