Hmm, not sure if this is a peculiarity of your hardware or a general
problem, but fairly sure it's a driver issue in any case. See
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16186 for example.
Please provide the information requested in the previous comment, and as
well the output of xrandr --verbose and 'sudo get-edid|parse-edid' with
the TV connected.
