Chris/Mark,
In addition to OpenOffice 2.4, I noticed a number of other packages are
also affected. I could re-enable text in OO by clearing options in it's
"View" menu (as described elsewhere. OO 3 also had problems like this
too.
Disabled the driver and all is well.
I can supply H/W & versions if anyone want's that info.
