yes, I've experienced this. Setting to confirmed. I think it has
become a little better in Jaunty (or maybe some purging did occur after
all)
There is a setting under Firefox Preferences - Privacy - History - Keep
my history for at least X days. I did not have the impression it had
much of an effect. I have it set to 45 and completion regularly takes
about 15 seconds. Pushing the down arrow seems to speed things up.
