This happened when the battery ran out, and seems to happen most of the time when the battery runs out (even earlier kernel version).
More info on how suspens/resume works on 2.6.28 kernels on this machine: The suspend/resume works most of the time. It suspends when I close the lid, and resumes when I open it. When resume doesn't work, the machine locks up. The screen is black and the keyboard doesn't work (I see no output, the CapsLock and NumLock buttons aren't lit up when pushed), but the fan spins and I'm not able to switch terminals (Ctrl+Alt+F1 to get out of X). When I close the lid, the apple logo on the back of the screen is lit up, and the "suspend" light which blinks when the machine is suspended is constantly on. When this happens I have to power off the machine. Other times when I open the lid the machine wakes up for a short while (ten-fifteen secs), then suspends again. When I open and close the lid it wakes up as it should. -- [Apple MacBook Pro] suspend/resume problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/332455 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
