Public bug reported:
On Ubuntu newer than 7.10, my Thinkpad X31 pauses ca. 2 min at boot, and
than there is no sound at all.
I have tested Kubuntu 8.04, 8.04.2, 8.10 -> with all clean installs and updates
the same problem.
If i install an old Kernel, everything works fine, at least in Kubuntu 8.04.2.
The last working kernel, i can get through the ubuntu repositorys is 2.6.22-15
(generic).
I have collected some Informations about the sound chip on the working
system (kernel 2.6.22-15):

I will attach the output of dmesg with the old kernel and with the new kernel.
I will also attach the output of lspci, it is the same for the old and every
new kernel, I've tested.
