Thank you for your bug. The applet uses evolution-data-server,
thunderbird is not likely to be modified to use evolution-data-server,
that's not a GNOME application and gnome-panel is not going to be
changed to work with random datas from other softwares neither. Marking
the bug rejected, if you want desktop coherence you should use desktop
applications together
