Could you please run the install again in debug mode (`ubiquity -d` in a
terminal window) and use a password that has the symbols you speak of,
but is not your regular password (as it will be copied to the log
files). Once the install crashes, please attach /var/log/syslog and
/var/log/installer/debug to this bug report following the instructions
in http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs .
If you are unable to do that, can you elaborate on what you mean by
symbols in your password, perhaps by pasting such a symbol or the
unicode code point?
