Uh huh... well, then! I hadn't realized that splashy made such a change (at the time of installing, I probably overlooked this fact).
That's definitely good to know, however. ... I just ran a "sudo apt-get install upstart-compat-sysv" command... it's telling me that it's already the newest version. Then again, could be because of splashy's installation.
