Sometimes it just appends the codes as I type them:

> test test test [1~[4~
> test test test [1~[4~[4~[1~[4~[1~[4~[1~[4~[4~[4~ [1~[4~ [1~[4~ [1~[4~
> test test [1~ [4~ test [1~ test [4~testetestestes[4~

Other times, pressing Home replaces the whole line:

> test test test 
> [1~

If I use the up arrow to bring back a previous command and then press
End, it does this:

> tail 
> tail /var/log/daemon.log.0
> tail [4~
