Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Sometimes, pulseaudio quits. I have started pulseaudio in a terminal and
watch Dr. House in totem :-)
Some movies later, it suddenly brought this message and terminated:
I: caps.c: Limited capabilities successfully to CAP_SYS_NICE.
I: caps.c: Dropping root privileges.
I: caps.c: Limited capabilities successfully to CAP_SYS_NICE.
W: pid.c: Stale PID file, overwriting.
W: alsa-util.c: Cannot find fallback mixer control "Mic" or mixer control is no
combination of switch/volume.
E: alsa-util.c: snd_pcm_avail_update() returned a value that is exceptionally
large: 16140901064495854976 bytes (384307168188 ms) Most likely this is a Linux
bug. Please report this issue to the ALSA developers.

Aborted
After that I started it again and all was ok. This problem is
reproduceable. In my case I only remeber that I got a phone call and
pressed the space bar in totem. While this phone call, the CD-ROM spin
down. When the call was over, I pressed space again, and totem hang and
pulseaudio quit.
