Could you also expand on what "nothing" means? I assume it means that the time didn't change, but did the dialog close or remain open? Whether the dialog closes or remains open will give us a clue as to what happened. Also, capturing the output of both dbus-monitor --system and dbus-monitor --session while doing this would be great.
