Public bug reported:
I have updated today ubuntu jaunty with apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
and the when i reboot i cannot start linux
Seems that udev cannot moun my root partition (ext3) and I cannot start the
system
(only busybox active)
But from the live cd I can mount the partition normally.
The problem is that I cannot have the old kernel....
I have tried to mount the partition form the live cd and then
after remounting proc and dev to chroot in it and do an apt-get update &&
apt-get dist-upgrade
but nothing it install all but the system don't start
the kernel that i have is the 2.6.28-8 generic I think (i check when I
reboot... I'm in windows now sigh)
What I can do?
I'm here from more detailed information if anyone can tell me where and what I
can check....
