I have the same problem with Intrepid and it seems to be an upstream bug - it occurs on Fedora 10 too, haven't tested any other. This hasn't been corrected in the updates (at least not up to recommended updates; don't know about pre-release and backports).
I installed obexfs, which makes the problem random, i.e., sometimes the error occurs, sometimes it doesn't. I usually cannot get it working the first time I connect a previously unpaired device (any phone). It works the second time sometimes. This is __with__ obexfs, without it, it doesn't ever work. With obexfs, it seems to be some sort of timeout or race condition, but I don't know whether obexfs is actually supposed to be the solution, because this is an unresolved bug as of now. IMHO, the old set up with gnome-bluetooth should not have been dumped, because it worked flawlessly. With the current set up, I can't even send files via Bluetooth with Nautilus - it reports an error but since the output is clipped, I can't read it or quote the message here. On the other hand, gnome-bluetooth no longer works correctly now. -- Cannot transfer files between phone and PC through Bluetooth https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305208 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
