It's normal that edubuntu-artwork does not trigger update-initramfs, it has to be done from removal the dependency edubuntu-artwork-usplash.
I compared usplash-theme-ubuntu.postrm and edubuntu-artwork- usplash.prerm (they have to do the same) but I see a great difference: the first calls 'update-initramfs -u',- the second not; it only calls update-alternatives, thus not updating the initial ramdisk. I suggest to change edubuntu-artwork-usplash.prerm with the patch attached to this comment, if it is what needed.... ** Attachment added: "edubuntu-artwork-usplash.prerm" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/23305959/edubuntu-artwork-usplash.prerm -- After removing edubuntu-desktop, edubuntu logo still displayed in the splash screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/39186 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
