I am also experiencing the exact same symptoms, although on a slighty
different setup. Also running a t61p, and also I get a kernel panic when
rsyncing my system. I have attached a screen shot of my system of the
terminal output of the kernel panic when the hang occurs. I have a dual
boot and the windows partition has no problems with wireless
