Thanks for your comments. Now I can cleary reproduce and work around this - still existing - bug.
For reproduction: - close all qt4 apps - change font display to lcd mode in System>Preferences>Appearance>Fonts As a work around - select "better shapes" in System>Preferences>Appearance>Fonts ** Summary changed: - Fonts in qt4 applications on Jaunty unreadable + Subpixel/Lcd mode makes qt4 applications on Jaunty unreadable ** Description changed: I have rare fonts in some programs like smplayer, ktorrent and amarok.
