when i try to set dma (hdparm -d1 /dev/hda) on my primary hard drive
(/dev/hda) i see this output:

HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted
using_dma = 0 (off)
the command hdparm /dev/hda shows that my harddisk supports ultra-dma
