I'm not sure if it's the same bug, but I just ran into this myself. I'm running Kubuntu Dapper, 386 kernel. I installed using ubiquity. I have two DVD drives: a DVD-ROM drive, and a BENQ DVD DD DW1640 burner. The DVD-ROM appears in /etc/fstab:
/dev/hdd /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user, noauto 0 0 The burner does not appear there, but putting in a disc and letting it open (or opening it through media:/) mounts it on /media/hdc and it works fine from there. -- Only one DVD drive detected https://launchpad.net/bugs/52572 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
