Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Xubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Jaunty Jackalope. It would help us greatly if you
could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next
release of Xubuntu. The latest image of Jaunty is available at
http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/daily-live/current/ .
I did attempt to reproduce this issue using an up to date installation
of Xubuntu Jaunty. I am able to play both .wav sound files and music
cd's. It was not necessary to install either pulse audio or any other
files.
