Tested using Brian Rogers program from LKML: Current 8.10 chokes albeit doesn't hang, system becomes unusable.
Current Jaunty (of 4.4.2009) gets a little choppy when four instances of the program runs at the same time,. Jaunty with patched kernel fares best, no choppines when four instances simultaneously running. Used test case: Boinc running on four cores worldcommunitygrid, Firefox with Flash x64 playing a video from Myspace, launching the test program from console. -- INFO: task blocked for more than 120 seconds causes system freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276476 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
