Public bug reported:
I have Asus P5B motherboard with Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 CPU.
I installed Ubuntu 6.10. I checked System Monitor and it showed
two CPUs. Then I used Update Manager and rebooted computer.
After reboot System Monitor showed only one CPU. This can be
repeated.
