This is Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy. I've tried enabling and disabling certain startup
scripts, but it still won't do anything!
Compiz Fusion isn't the problem because it works normally when enabled in
Failsafe mode.
Anyway, all what I remember happening is that I clicked on the Clock applet on
the Gnome panel and Gnome froze up. Then I rebooted and Gnome failed to load.
