Some progress here. I believe the problem is with X freezing. When I boot it seems the resolution is set extremely high because the cursor is very small in size. The panels on top and bottom start to come in but don't make it all the way leaving just a sliver at top and bottom.
If I use ubuntu's option to make a usb startup rather than unetbootin, I have the option to boot in safe graphics mode (press F4 at the boot screen). This knocks the resolution down and allows me to boot without freezing. I have attached the lspci output as well as the Xorg log. Be advised that the log is not from when I had the freeze. I could get no response from the alt-sysrq commands. ** Attachment added: "lspci -vvnn output" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/23519909/lspci_output.txt -- Mouse buttons and keyboard stop working when panel spawns https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337491 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
