This is not a translation issue (and it should happen in every non-C locale). It also happens for "skew". This has been (accidentally) fixed upstream for "rank" and "skew" as of 1.9.4, subject to a remaining mistake that the names of the arguments are not being translated. I will fix that upstream in the next few days.
There may still be other functions in other sections for which this still happens.
