Hello John,

Thank you for that info.  It says that "Shockwave Flash" is installed
and enabled.  (I thought Shockwave and Flash were two separate things,
but I presume that in the case of Linux/Firefox, they are combined...?)

I just successfully played a video on Youtube, so I presume flashplayer
is working.

I'm perplexed as to the reason for the crash I reported.  I had thought
at the time I reported the crash that I was doing a "good thing", but
now I fear that it was an isolated anomoly for which much of your
valuable time has been wasted.  If that is the case, please accept my
sincerest apologies.

Thank you very much for your contributions of time and expertise in
support of Firefox and the open source community, and I hope you have a
