Insufficient information has been provided; there needs to be Xorg.0.log
and 'lspci -vvnn' available as a minimum. 'xrandr --verbose' would be
useful as well.
Are you able to reproduce the issue with the following steps.
1. Power on UUT and boot to OS with LCD only
2. Make sure that the default resolution is 640*480
3. Run `xrandr --output [OUTPUT] --mode 1024x576` where [OUTPUT] is the output
you're trying to configure.
4. Does it work properly, or does it demonstrate the issue?
This will determine whether it is an -intel driver issue, or a problem
with gnome-control-center.
