Colin-
Okay, I've got some more info on this problem, and it's a deep one.
This problem will occur on alt-tab events.
Basically, the guest receives the "alt down" event, but when you tab
away from it, the alt-up event doesn't get sent to the guest.
Hence, you get the "stuck alt key" that we discussed in IRC.
While this problem exists in SDL (ie, launching kvm from the command
line), it has been relatively well solved in gtk-vnc (ie, launching from
virt-manager) using heuristics. Those might be portable from gtk-vnc to
sdl, and ideally upstream would do this for us (or with us).
The thing I'd like to know from you is whether or not you can reproduce
this problem using gtk-vnc. ie, "do the gtk-vnc heuristics work for
you?" You can test this using virt-manager or by adding -vnc to the kvm
command line and using vinagre.
