Hi Katie, nice that someone reacts on my error-report - at least confirming that not 'only you' has the problem.
In the meantime I think this might also be an installer-problem (maybe synaptic), not specifically a KMid error. I reported the problem 2006-12-10. In the meantime I downloaded a lot of patches / updates. Maybe uninstall and reinstall of KMid would solve the problem in the case the installer was improved in the meantime.
