It won't do if it isn't crashing. If it is hanging, you need to run it
through GDB (Or attach GDB to it if it is already running), and obtain a
backtrace following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash. To get a backtrace, you
will need to press CTRL+C when Pidgin hangs in the terminal running GDB,
and obtain a backtrace that way.
