Ok it looks like it is. It should be doing /dev/cciss/c0d0p1 ..c0d0p2 .. and so
on. We had somewhat of a similar issue with the debian installer here:

So it does look to that this issue may be an issue with partman and drives
attached to a controller using the cciss driver.

Any help on your part to try another machine using the cciss driver to
confirm this theory would be great!
