Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: texmaker

After opening a .tex file in texmaker (v1.8), the file can be edited,
but after hitting save, the cursor disappears and the window doesn't
accept any keyboard input. I can still click on different lines in the
file, and it will highlight the line, but no cursor is present and
nothing I type shows up. This is a major bug for me, as I have to
restart the program after every save if I want to use it. After I
restart the program, it works again but only until I have to save again.
I have tried on multiple occasions, with different .tex files, and same
problem occurs. I am using Jaunty Alpha 5, recently updated (<2 days
ago).

** Affects: texmaker (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
