Nevermind, new driver does not change anything. I have just reverted to jaunty 
official packages juste to be sure. In fact, using jaunty packages, I have the 
same behavior:
- I connect the video cable -> no effect
- Fn+F8 -> no effect
- systemsettings > Display settings > Enable second display -> Video output is 
working

The most confusing thing is that Fn+F8 is now working although it used
to.
