I'm using intrepid and the backported kde 4.2.0 packages.
I've got a Dell XPS1330 laptop and an external monitor connected. I would like
to keep the external monitor turned on when I close the lid, but when I close
the lid the external monitor is turned off, as well as, the laptop monitor.
I've configured in the guidance applet to do nothing when the laptop lid is
closed, but it keeps turning the external monitor off.
Fortunatelly there's a workaround related with another bug (#290007). When I
move the mouse or when I press a key the system asks for a password and the
external monitor turns on again.
If you need any other further information I would be very pleased to attach it.
