I have the same bug in edgy in a new installation: Enter LUKS passphrase: device-mapper: table: 253:0: crypt: Error allocating crypto tfm device-mapper: ioctl: error adding target to table device-mapper: ioctl: device doesn't appear to be in the dev hash table. Failed to setup dm-crypt key mapping. Check kernel for support for the aes-cbc-essiv:sha256 cipher spec and verify that /dev/sda7 contains at least 258 sectors. Failed to read from key storage
modules aes_i586, sha256 and dm-crypt are loaded (coded lsmod into initramfs) The patch does not work for me. -- cryptsetup failing in initrd https://launchpad.net/bugs/74432 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
