After upgrading my system an hour ago, I notice that sound (rhythmbox w
pulseaudio) is extremely choppy. On a hunch, I disabled "normal" visual
effects, returning to "none". This provided immediately relief. I
guess this is an audio driver and 3d code fighting over something?
