Binary package hint: ubiquity
When you choose the first item in the boot menu ("Try ubuntu without any
change to your computer"), when you choose the timezone, the map is
showing the right time, the current time. When you choose the second
option in the live cd boot menu ("Install ubuntu"), the map is showing
the current time plus the difference between your timezone and GMT. See
the attachment.
