I have the same problem, but I haven’t noticed the relation with updates.
Also, I think this is not a duplicate of #99740, at least the reporter does not
mention loose of control, I can return to normal screen by entering and then
leaving real full screen mode (i. e. pressing F11 twice).

Firefox goes into full screen mode. I lose all window borders. Very irritating.
