Yes, Geir is correct on these points.

Usually we can quirk specific pci id's where LVDS is not available, to
shut it off.  In this case, though, the same pci id is used in some
netbooks that do have LVDS.  So that means that unfortunately this is
not something that can be solved with the normal LVDSout quirk.
