@Bryan To confirm things are working in Ubuntu but not in Kubuntu. Mainly because the package versions are behind and Kbuntu needs to catch up. I will try to find outside this but what is going on with Kubuntu.
Probably wait till Friday to test out Kubuntu again if there is this lag. This will of course not be the case in the release version. I'm going to close this bug since you confirmed it's fixed in the latest Ubuntu build. But if this prersists in Kubuntu, please file a separate bug against Kubuntu.
