Public bug reported:
When booting from the Kubuntu Jaunty Alpha 5 i386 LiveCD on a Compaq
Deskpro EN (i810), KDM doesn't start.
Expected behaviour:
KDM starts and logs in automatically, presenting me with the KDE desktop.
Observed behaviour:
No GUI appears whatsoever.
Instead, I'm getting these two error messages in the console:
[timestamp] [drm:i810_wait_ring] *ERROR* space: 65520 wanted 65528
[timestamp] [drm:i810_wait_ring] *ERROR* lockup
I can still switch to another console by using Alt+F1-F6.
When I do a killall kdm as root and then start KDM as root, I get the same
error messages, 3 times.
