Public bug reported:
Google Gadgets do not remember locations. When the session is restarted,
all gadgets jump back into the sidebar.
If one has carefully set up gadgets on the desktop, or in Compiz's
widget layer, all positioning and size information will disappear at
session restart, and gadgets will again be sitting in the sidebar,
whether it was turned on at last session or not.
Steps to repeat: 1. Open Google Gadgets and add to Session Auto-start.
2. Uncheck sidebar from right clicking the dock icon. 3) Place icons in
positions and resize them. 4) Restart Session. You will see all Gadgets
back in the Sidebar.
