I am at a loss to explain this one, your /dev clearly contains a /dev/pts and /dev/shm directory so I have no idea why you're seeing mount complaining that the mount point does not exist.
There was a suspicious line in your mount output: shmfs on /lib/init/rw/splashy type tmpfs (rw) if shmfs is already mounted, perhaps this could cause it. What is "splashy" and where did you download it from? ** Changed in: udev (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- /dev/pts and /dev/shm not mounted on boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321927 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
