Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Basically, I can open a DOC file, that is created in Word2007. This
document is saved in Form mode for editing of only the form fields,
mostly text fields and checkboxes. I can open and view accurately, I can
also edit seemingly with ease. But when I save the Document, with the
field data entered, and then re-open the saved file, half way down the
page, (there are lots of form text fields), instead of having a form
field, they were changed to "FORMCHECKBOX" and "FORMTEXT". The Form
formatting and field is now gone.
I am running Ubuntu 8.10, Open Office 2.4.1. I frequently and regularly
update the system for patches. I have tried editing the same document,
as well as like documents, with the same results. The option to save as
an OpenOffice file will not work due to the requestors of this
information being Windows only users.
