Bingo Peter. I replaced my" USB mouse + USB/PS2 adaptor" by a "pure" PS2 mouse and IT WORKS: no frozen mouse
It corresponds finally to other reports saying "USB mouse frozen". This is really a USB mouse bug, not PS2 Hope it helps!!
