Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
1. I used Unetbootin in ubuntu8.04 to install Ubuntu 8.1 to Harddisk
2. boot succesful in UBUNTU 8.10
3. Install extra packages, k3b, Ubuntu Customization Kit, virtuall box,
remastersys, dvd95 converter, virtual machine manager.
4. I used "remastersys" to =backup full got iso file 1.2GB
5. Used =from panel= System / Administration / Create a USB start up disk = to
create a usb 2Gb
6. Install the Customised ubuntu 8.10 to another notebook, ASUS oem S62J.
7. Cannot boot the new sda11Ubuntu8.10. with sudo grub> find /boot/grub/stage1
8. Boot sda9Ubuntu 8.04, found that not /grub, only /boot, so I copy
sda9Ubuntu 8.04-/boot/grub
put to sda11Ubuntu8.10-/boot and edit /boot/grub/menu.list
9. login to sudo grub > find /boot/grub/stage1 ==> this time got [hd0,8(sda9)]
[hd0,9(sda10)] [hd0,10(sda11)]
10. root (hd0)
11. boot successful to sda11Ubuntu8.10 install Nvedia driver(auto detect by
ubuntu8.10
