with Ubuntu 8.10 when i changed the volume with the multimedia keys on the
keyboard
I would get a nice notification in the bottom middle of the screen
I notice that the notification has been improved but
when desktop effects are disabled there is no notification at all
with desktop effects enabled I sometimes get a notification in the very top
right of the desktop or not at all
the Notification should be in the bottom middle of screen to make it easier to
see
or at least allow the user to choose where it goes
