I can confirm this. I am experiencing this issue from 8.04 till now (Jaunty Alpha 5). I use bcm4318 with offered proprietary drivers and then I am able to connect to my network using either NetworkManager or Wicd. But after some time, usually when I start to download bigger amount of data (like running Synaptics) it disconnects and then no wifi networks can be found. I use wpa2 authentication.
